Stitched Iliad Interview →

I was in BBC Broadcasting house Bristol this morning, doing a short interview on the Iliad project for BBC Radio Bristol. I’m in the last ten minutes or so if anyone would like to listen.

Day 76.

This post is dedicated to grrlcookery
And darkness-be-my-friend- for asking where I was/if I was okay. I probably wouldn’t be posting this without those precious messages of support, so: with all sincerity, thank you.

It’s been a while, I know. The last however many months have been busy (PhD upgrade - I passed), hard (landlady illegally tried to kick us out of our house, but of course we then had to move anyway - who wants to stay where they’re so obviously not welcome?), and rough (health, money, stress).

I’m really trying to get back on top of things and have some semblance of routine and productivity in my life, but I don’t want to make any promises about being back in full flow for now, because I’ve tried to get back into things before and just crashed myself again.

Here’s hoping I update again tomorrow.

I took a few days off because I need to buy more thread and needles, an because of our minor heat wave. I do not function well in heat.

Omicron troubles

As you may recall when I posted about it before, Anchor have changed the dye lot for their red 19 colour. It is visibly different, and useless to me.

And it’s becoming increasingly difficult for me to find the old one, and I reckon I need at least 12 more skeins.

So, here’s the deal, if you have an old anchor 19 skein (or even part of a skein), I will trade you.

Send me your anchor thread and I will, in return, send you either:
- a thread of your choice that you want, or:
- an embroidered small quote from a book, on a small swatch of fabric, as if from a fortune cookie.

I am desperate for this thread, so please reblog/signal boost, and message me if you think you have the old colour.

How do you know if you have the old colour? Chances are if you bought it over 6 months ago, it’s the one I need. Anchor also recently changed the style of their logo as printed on the skein, all the new due lots have the new logo, so if you have the old logo, there’s a greater chance it’s the one I need.
